Case Study 1 - Revlimid Dose Wheel/Box
Our client had identified a need for a patient aid in recording a complicated doseage regime for a combination treatment and presented us with a spreadsheet for conversion into! what?
Having sound knowledge of the drug/s and treatment regime/s, we explored the possibility of a diary but quickly discarded the idea as the onus fell on the patient to record what doseage/combination had been taken.
It was obvious that the doseage/combination and frequency needed to be set down in print with a facility for the patient to simply answer yes or no to having taken the treatment on the relevant day. It was also obvious that there would need to be two versions of the record to accurately record the initial treatment and maintenance (when the regime changes).
Slowly the idea of a doseage ‘wheel’ developed which laid down the doseage and administration days with a simple ‘tick’ window for the patient to complete for each cycle, the concept was further developed to house sufficient ‘wheels’ in a pack for each treatment cycle complete with small pen.
As the clinicians were to have a stock of these for patient distribution, we then developed a desk top box drawer to hold a small stock, with a re-order form |
